Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park invites recruits to live out their Super Hero dreams in a fully immersive land for all ages. Technology plays a critical role in creating immersive, engaging experiences that guests continuously enjoy at Disney Parks around the world – and Avengers Campus soars to new heights with incredible experiences for guests to team up with the Avengers and their allies.

Avengers Campus brings an epic universe of Super Heroes to Disney California Adventure Park with thrilling attractions, awe-inspiring entertainment, innovative merchandise and deliciously creative culinary offerings in settings centered around the core attributes of different Super Heroes. The attractions aim to leverage the latest technology to help guests harness their own inner hero. To satisfy the excitement that comes with this distinction, Disney Imagineers collaborated with Panasonic engineers to fully immerse guests and allow them to be at the center of the action.

Setting the Scene

Using 4K projection technology, Panasonic’s engineers supported Disney Imagineers in transporting guests into an interactive escapade in which guests feel the urgency of the mission at hand. By working in tandem with attraction vehicles, Panasonic 4K laser projectors help make virtual components highly interactive, engaging experience.

Establishing a True Immersive Experience

Panasonic has a long history of collaborating with Disney Imagineers to develop creative, engaging visuals for attractions, transporting guests into a world outside of their own. However, the development of the experience at Avengers Campus was unique. For life-like attractions aiming to tell such an interactive story, visual technology, such as Panasonic’s 4K projection technology, plays a critical role in creating the adventure. Panasonic’s 4K laser projectors feature solid-state laser light sources and heat-resistant phosphor wheels which create high brightness, strong color accuracy and increased contrast, ensuring vibrant, vivid and realistic scenes are created to fully immerse guests.
